"A small grass is a long and long life." Wang Wenbin said that mushroom grass technology solves the world problem of "the production of edible fungi must rely on cutting down trees". By cultivating edible fungi "using grass instead of trees", it has brought hope to the vast majority of developing countries to solve the problems of food and poverty and achieve sustainable development.
From South Pacific to Africa and then to Latin America, these "Chinese grasses" have long been spread to 106 countries and regions around the world, becoming the "happiness grass" and "rich grass" for the people of countless developing countries. President of the Central African Republic Tovadra said that the mushroom grass project will benefit many different production departments in China and Africa. Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Marape said the fungi grass project is a gift from China to the world.
Wang Wenbin said that the fungi grass project is also a microcosm of China and developing countries jointly promoting the implementation of global development initiatives and carrying out cooperation in areas such as poverty reduction and food security.
In recent years, China has actively promoted cooperation in agricultural science and technology innovation and made important contributions to ensuring world food security, promoting global poverty reduction and sustainable agricultural development. The Chinese team carried out tropical agricultural science and technology research in Congo (Brazza), and the "South China No. 5" cassava produced per hectare of 51 tons, 5.6 times the local variety output. The cotton varieties "China No. 1" and "China No. 2" developed by the China Aid to Sudan Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center have significantly increased local cotton yields, and the planting area accounts for more than 90% of the total planting area of Sudan's cotton for many years. The hybrid rice poverty reduction demonstration village project piloted by China in Burundi helped all villagers in 4 local villages get rid of poverty, and led Burundi to build 22 demonstration villages of the same type nationwide, benefiting 2,800 households and 22,500 people, with an average annual income increase of US$1,340. In June this year, China assisted the Dominic Agricultural Science and Technology Comprehensive Building Project to hold a groundbreaking ceremony to help multi-agricultural modernization reach a new level.
