In fact, before the 191 gun race appeared, the Type 03 assault rifle was the strongest representative of the "Trotskyist" in the eyes of Chinese military fans. Our army was still very cautious when facing the problem of "having a trust or not" at that time. Considering that 95 has achieved gun tribe formation, it was finally decided to let the troops change the 95 gun tribe on a large scale. However, considering the risk issue, it was finally decided to equip the Type 03 assault rifle in some units such as Border Defense Force , Armed Police, etc., and some parts of the Type 03 assault rifle can still be used with the 95 rifle, so as to observe that our army is more suitable for using a sturtle rifle or a sturtle rifle.
In fact, what I like most about Type 03 assault rifle is that its upper and lower receivers use receiver pin connection, while the 95 rifle does not have this design. On the battlefield, soldiers often don’t have as much time to maintain guns. The new 191 gun family has added corresponding insulation covers between the guardrail and the barrel, which has better overall performance when firing. In addition, the stock and barrel of the 191 gun family are basically in the same straight line, and the overall shooting accuracy is obviously better than that of the Type 03 assault rifle.
So, is there still a need for "magic modification" of the Type 03 assault rifle? Personally, I still feel that there is. After all, the original 95/95-1 rifle has begun to use a large number of modification kits in recent years. After the modification, its overall tactical expansion ability has been significantly improved. Even if some combat troops are equipped with 191 guns, they will still retain a small number of 95 rifles specifically for combat in special environments such as indoor CQB. The upper receiver of
"Magic Modification 03" definitely needs to be replaced, but the replacement of the upper receiver is not expensive and easy to accept. It is best to replace it with the upper receiver that is the same as the 191 Gun Family, with a long Picatinny tactical rail. In this way, the "Magic Modification 03" not only has enhanced its tactical expansion capabilities, but also has better acceptance when using the "Magic Modification 03".
Secondly, it is to replace the stock. The impact of this point is not great. You can directly use the 6-speed retractable stock on the QBZ-191 assault rifle. The installation position of the stock can be moved up appropriately and is in the same straight line as the barrel. In this way, the difference between the accuracy of "Magic Modification 03" and the 191 gun family is very small.
Finally, it is the guardrail. If the cost is controllable, it is best to replace it with a guardrail with the same Picatinny tactical guide rail as the QBZ-191 assault rifle. If you need to control costs, you can consider replacing the guardrail or not replacing the entire guardrail. However, there must be an insulating cover between the barrel and the handguard to solve the problem of overheating the handguard when the continuous shooting occurs.
If modified in this way, then theoretically, unless the gun life expires, the "Magic Modification 03" can continue to serve. It can also save some of the cost of changing clothes to a certain extent.
