Crew-4 mission and Crew-3 mission astronauts

At 3:52 ET on April 27, four astronauts of the Crew-4 mission took to SpaceX new manned Dragon spacecraft by the Falcon 9 rocket from the 39A launch pad of Kennedy Space Center in Florida. At 19:37 ET on the 27th, Dragon spacecraft docked with the International Space Station. They will conduct more than 200 studies in the fields of materials science, health technology, plant science, etc. on the space station, conduct two space walks, and return to Earth this fall.

They will conduct research including immune system aging, concrete substitutes for organic materials, cardiopulmonary effects during and after long-term exposure to microgravity environment, and the use of artificial retina to restore vision for patients suffering from retinal degenerative diseases. They will also use hydroponics and air culture technologies to plant plants to provide larger-scale crop production for future space exploration.

Since the first manned test flight of the Dragon Spacecraft in 2020, this is SpaceX's fifth time transporting professional astronauts to NASA, and SpaceX's seventh manned flight so far. It has previously carried out space tourism business to send tourists back and forth.
