Garbage classification is a governance problem faced by both sides of the Taiwan Strait communities. After watching the promotional video of "Send You a Little Red Flower", community workers in the two places shared their experience in garbage classification and grassroots governance. Residents of the two places firmly believe that as long as everyone acts together, they can make a contribution to the environment.

The Petroleum Symbiosis Courtyard where the event was held was rated as the "Beijing-Taiwan Grassroots Exchange Base" this year. Before the linkage event began, Li Changyuan, deputy director of the Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office, presented the "Beijing-Taiwan Grassroots Exchange Base" plaque to Xuelu Street.
