Beijing time, on October 25, the runner-up of the 2019 World Championships, Danish star Antonsen posted a long article on his personal Facebook questioning the undisclosed and transparent lottery draws of the World Badminton Federation.
The following is the original text compiled:
There is something that has bothered me for a long time, and I think it's time to talk about it now.
I can't understand why there is no suitable lottery system in the sport of badminton.
We have seen countless times, and the players repeatedly encountered the same opponent in the first, second and quarter-finals.
For example: (Danish men's doubles) Bowie/Peterson has participated in the past five Opens, four of the first rounds have been facing Han Chengkai / Zhou Haodong . The four times are: China Open, South Korea Masters, Danish Open and Hong Kong Open.
I am not a math expert, but I know that the situation just now is almost impossible to happen. In fact, this possibility is only 0.00144% chance, which means a close to 1/66,000 (a cousin of mine who was studying mathematics in college helped me do the calculation). It would be nothing if there was only one such coincidence, but the fact was not the case. Similar situations have happened again and again in recent years.
I suggest that the BWF conduct an open manual draw, for each Super 500, Super 750, Super 1000 event, and of course the World Championships and Olympic badminton events, which is not too difficult.
BWF can even broadcast the lottery process on social media, on Facebook, youtube, Ins, Weibo, , etc., attracting the public's attention. I believe that when the lottery live broadcast of the All-British Open will be held, many people will watch the live broadcast, and I will watch it myself anyway.
I don’t know if it’s only our players who think of this problem.

Previously, there was a strange lottery in the China Fuzhou Open. The Chinese badminton men's singles draw were drawn. When Shi Yuqi was not healed, the remaining four men's singles players, Lin Dan , Chen Long , Huang Yuxiang, and Lu Guangzu , all gathered in the first round to meet, and in the second round, the two players who advanced will also meet.
0 All the four players of the national badminton team are in a quarter-and-half zone, which is undoubtedly very strange. In addition to the national badminton team's intentions, almost all kinds of civil wars can be seen, such as the first round of the Chinese Taipei player Wang Ziwei and Zhou Tiancheng , Indonesian player Scher and Jonathan met in the first round, and now Danish player Antonsen posted a message to question the World Badminton Federation, which may have expressed the voices of many athletes.
