Terming Gou and Ko Wen-je.
China Taiwan Network, August 25th According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency" report, whether the founder of Hon Hai Group , and Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je are competing for the top 2020. Officials from Taiwan's "China Election Association" pointed out that if the candidates are not recommended by qualified political parties, they must run through a joint signing, and more than 280,000 people will sign by November 2.
20 Taiwan leaders election, the DPP has confirmed that it will nominate Tsai Ing-wen to run for election, and the Kuomintang will also send Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu to the battle. As for Terry Gou, who lost the primary election in the Kuomintang, and Ko Wen-je, who has not yet made a clear statement, if he wants to run for election, he can run for election in accordance with the recommendation or joint signing model of other political parties.
According to the island's "Recall Law", candidates for leaders should be recommended by political parties or run for election through a joint signing. Officials of the "Central Election Association" said that recommended political parties must participate in the latest election of leaders, deputy leaders or "legislators" in Taiwan. The sum of the number of votes they recommend should reach more than 5% of the total number of valid votes in that election. Judging from this standard, in addition to the Kuomintang and the DPP, the political parties that can recommend candidates also have the People First Party and the "power of the times". Although Ko Wen-je has established the Taiwan People's Party, the party does not meet the above-mentioned recommended party qualifications.
Therefore, if Terry Gou, Ko Wen-je or Wang Jinping want to run for election, there are two ways: one is to cooperate with the People First Party or the "power of the times" to obtain the qualification to recommend the party to run for election, and register to run for election in mid-November; the second is to run for election by means of joint signing.
According to the "Election Association" plan, an election announcement will be issued on September 12. Those who want to sign a candidate through a joint signing must apply to the "Election Association" from September 13 to 17 to become a co-signer, apply for the form of the co-signer list, and pay the cross-linked deposit of NT$41 million. The "Election Association" will announce the co-signees for the election of the chief and deputy leaders on September 18. The co-signees must complete the joint signature within 45 days, that is, the cross-link signature must be submitted until November 2 at the latest.
As for the threshold for the number of co-signers, according to the "Election and Resistance Law", it is necessary to reach 1.5% of the total number of electors in the latest "legislator" election. Officials of the "Central Election Association" said that the most recent one was the "Legislator" election in 2016. At that time, the total number of electors was 18.692,217, which was 1.5% of the threshold, that is, more than 283,84 people had to sign together to meet the standard.
"Zhongsheng Election Association" will announce the joint signing results before November 13, accept candidate registration from November 18 to November 22, review the candidate list before December 3, and notify the lottery, the candidate lottery decision number will be issued on December 9, and the candidate list will be officially announced on December 13.
