On the morning of April 20, the launch ceremony of the 100-day campaign to prevent and resolve road traffic safety risks in Heyuan City system (hereinafter referred to as the "100-day campaign") was held in the South Gate Square of Hakka Cultural Park.
In recent years, the road traffic safety situation in Heyuan City has been generally stable, but the total number of road traffic accidents is relatively large and the situation is severe. In order to thoroughly implement the relevant road traffic safety requirements of Guangdong Province, create a safe and stable road traffic environment, and effectively ensure the safety of life and property of the general public, Heyuan held this 100-day campaign.
Heyuan Mayor Lin Tao, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor Li Yiyong, Deputy Mayor and Director of the Public Security Bureau Lin Shaowei and other leaders, as well as Heyuan Municipal Public Security Bureau, Municipal Transportation Bureau, Municipal Urban Management Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau and volunteer representatives attended the launching ceremony. At the ceremony, Lin Shaowei said that all levels and departments in Heyuan should take the systematic prevention of road traffic safety risks as an important part of learning party history and doing practical things and important people's livelihood matters, and fully implement all measures of the 100-day campaign to ensure the goal of "three continuous reductions and one resolute prevention" in preventing and resolving road traffic safety risks (the number of road traffic accidents, the number of deaths and major road traffic accidents continue to decrease, and major road traffic accidents are resolutely prevented), so as to promote the significant improvement of the road traffic safety situation in Heyuan City and the continuous improvement of the comprehensive governance level.
After Lin Tao announced that the 100-day campaign in Heyuan City was officially launched, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, Transportation Bureau, Urban Management Bureau and other vehicles were parading in the city. After the parade is over, the member units of the Municipal System Leading Group for Preventing and Resolving Road Traffic Safety Risks will organize and carry out road traffic law enforcement actions in light of their respective responsibilities.
It is understood that the 100-day campaign will be carried out from April 19 to July 25, focusing on preventing and resolving drivers’ unsafe driving risks. By carrying out "one helmet and one belt" safety protection and other actions, we will enhance drivers’ safety awareness; prevent and resolve key vehicle safety risks, and severely crack down on illegal and irregular behaviors such as overlimits, overloading, drunk driving, and unlicensed driving, and unlicensed illegal and irregular behaviors; prevent and resolve safety risks on key sections and the risk of failure to implement the main responsibility of road traffic enterprises for safety production; deeply promote the "eight entry" (enter enterprises, schools, communities, etc.) activities to create a strong momentum for traffic safety rectification.
