"Creative Raid" M.R. Studio: Hong Kong Carrot Private Club

As its name suggests, the design inspiration for the elegant Hong Kong Monte Carlo Whiskey Private Club comes from boats moored in the beautiful Monte Carlo Harbour.

Retro decorative table replaces the traditional reception table. Flowers and candles are placed on the table, as well as postcards in the store, giving people a relaxed and elegant feeling.

Wooden veneer cubes are hung with some photos of the Monte Card, which makes people think about it.

entrance black steel gate uses the boat's steering wheel pulling hands as a symbol of the club, while the lighting effect on the edge creates a sense of arrival. The design of the bar head is the soul of the entire club. The space is visually enlarged through the reflective antique mirror ceiling in the hull skeleton structure, and the symmetrical design enhances the grandeur.

is located in the downtown center of Causeway Bay , decorated with a symbolic rudder. The doors around the club's door are lit by lights, exuding a mysterious sense of arrival. After passing through the door, guests will be teleported to a space full of masculinity without losing taste for details.

spiral staircase appropriately hangs decorative chandeliers and plants, so that there is a space connection from indoor to outdoor.

dark and light strips outdoor wooden floors serve as the focus of the outdoor bar, perfectly blending with the beautiful view overlooking.

dark grey highlight paint helps improve the sense of space.

500 square feet of space features a bar, seating area, gaming area and outdoor space, one of the main requirements of the client is to provide such a comprehensive service through an exclusive experience within this small space. The playful and artistic approach to details not only shape the characters, but more importantly, it helps divide different areas, thus helping the project's results

dark green velvet chair and the icy feeling of marble countertops. The wooden surfaces arranged obliquely stacked are inspired by the wooden boards of the boat, which echoes the entire space.

You can see carefully the texture of the metal mesh on the display cabinet body.

entrance door is symbolized by the drawer of the boat steering wheel, and the lighting effect on the edge of the door creates a sense of arrival. Through this, it brings guests to a masculine temptation space, yet exquisitely applied detail. Various boat elements, including wood floors and walls, metal mesh, brass and glass, set a rough tone for the space, but the use of velvet and leather in custom furniture surprises a touch of classic retro atmosphere, neutralizing the contrast between the two. On the focal bar, the addition of antique mirrors makes the low ceiling space visually enlarge. The rooftop bar has a bird's eye view of the spectacular cityscape, and the smooth design techniques perfectly blend the indoor and outdoor spaces.

The main challenge of this project is to have low ceilings and triangular spaces, besides that we need to design a luxury club on a very limited budget and a tight timeline. The space is visually enlarged through the reflective antique mirrored ceiling within the hull skeleton structure, with carefully designed detailing and sophisticated furniture choices help convey a sense of luxury, addressing design challenges in a holistic and low-key way.

The design of black steel lines overlaps with special paint lines, adding to the three-dimensional feeling of the entire wall.
