Tanshui, known as Huwei in ancient times, was originally an ordinary rural area near Tamsui Port. The names of donors at that time were engraved on the pillars of the Longshan Temple at Tamsui, including "Jinyi disciple Wu Ruiqing, Wu Benlin", "Jinsi disciple Cai Quanfa", etc. Lugang has been known as "Little Quanzhou" since ancient times. With a great opportunity for trade with Taiwan, it has developed into a prosperous port with "thousands of ships crossing the corner of the sea". In Tainan and , Xiamen , the Chen family is also very influential. Today, there are two Yiyuan stacks on the seashore of Shenzhen and Shanghai, with an area of ​​540 stacks on the east side. According to the contract documents of that year, it costs 5,000 oceans to buy a large ship, and there are more than ten such large ships in Yuji, which can be called the richest man in Dongshi. In order to develop the shipping industry, they also opened a harbor in the village and opened many docks to facilitate ships to enter the port and dock.
