According to Taiwan media reports, in response to Taipei Mayor Ke Wen-je’s 4-strong promotion of the “Taipei Tong” App, Taipei City Councillors Miao Boya, Lin Liangjun and others initiated the “rejection of forced sales of Taipei Tong”. Miao revealed on the evening of the 24th that more than 9,700 people have joined the signing in less than 4 days. When the parliamentary meeting is officially passed on on the 25th, it will become a comprehensive resolution for the total budget of this year.
Miao Boya said on Facebook on the 24th that in the past year, the Taipei Municipal Government has used various administrative means to "bound the public services provided by the municipal government into Taipei Pass", which has forced many people to register for Taipei Pass in order to obtain public services; Taipei Pass originally had personal information privacy, digital footprints and other concerns, coupled with the municipal government's forced sales methods, which have attracted public concerns and public grievances.
Miao Boya pointed out that in order to reflect public opinion and protect the people's "right to make independent information decisions", she questioned the Taipei Municipal Information Bureau on May 29, 2020, and asked Mayor Ke Wenzhe on November 11, 2021. On December 23 of the same year, the Finance and Construction Committee officially proposed the 2022 comprehensive resolution on the total budget of the Taipei Municipal Government, prohibiting the municipal government from forcing the sale of Taipei Pass, and approved it after the Finance and Construction Committee was revised.
Miao Boya explained that due to opposition from the city government and some councillors, she entered the party consultation, but no consensus was reached during the four negotiations. Therefore, on the evening of January 20, she initiated the "Reject Taipei Tong Forced Sales" re-signation of the whole people, hoping to make the city government and all councillors pay attention to the people's "right to independently decide on information" through direct public opinion.
Miao Boya revealed that as of the 24th, more than 9,700 people have joined the signing. The parliament held its 6th party consultation on the 24th, and finally reached a consensus to let the members of the party agree with the text of the comprehensive resolution proposed by me: "The public services provided by the Taipei Municipal Government and all affiliated institutions and schools should provide diversified application login methods, and the Taipei Connect (single identity identification) shall not be used as the only application channel." When the parliamentary meeting is officially passed on on the 25th, it will become a comprehensive resolution for the total budget of this year.
