On the evening of November 3, the 2018 Kaile Stone Ring Siguniangshan Super Cross-country Run sponsored by the Aba Prefecture People's Government, Siguniangshan Management Bureau, Xiaojin County People's Government, Aba Prefecture Tourism Development Committee, Aba Prefecture Sports Bureau, and Aba Dajiubao Siguniangshan Tourism Branch, co-organized by Chengdu Shenxing Outdoor Sports Co., Ltd. and Beijing Sano International Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and sponsored by the famous outdoor sports brand Kaileshi "KAILAS", ended perfectly, and the award ceremony and closing ceremony were held at the Siguniangshan Scenic Area Visitor Center.
2018 Kaile Stone Ring Sigu Niangshan Super Cross-Road Run officially started at 17:00 pm on November 2, 2018. A total of 1,421 athletes from 24 countries and regions including France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, fought fiercely in four groups: UTMS100km, UTMS60km, UTMS45km, and UTMS35km. Among them, as many as 106 contestants have participated in the competition for three consecutive years.
Running is an innate instinct of human beings. In the UTMS100km competition with the highest difficulty level, 174 contestants set off from the Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area, passed through Shiqigongzhuang, ginseng fruit floor, cat nose bridge, star anise shed, and dry tree beach, and finally returned to the visitor center. Compared with previous years, this year's UTMS 100-kilometer group has a longer distance, a higher cumulative climb, and a shorter closing time. The difficulty and intensity of the track are the highest in history.
In the end, Silang Doji won the men's group championship in 15 hours, 47 minutes and 00 seconds, ARTEM ROSTOVTSEV won the men's group runner-up in 17 hours, 58 minutes and 30 seconds, Tang Lei won the men's group third place in 19 hours, 39 minutes and 03 seconds; Fraile Uxue won the women's group championship in 20 hours, 09 minutes and 56 seconds, and Li Hongxia won the women's group runner-up in 31 hours, 34 minutes and 19 seconds. In addition, Liu Junyu, Li Bo and Zhou Qing won the UTMS60km, UTMS45km and UTMS35km men's championships respectively; Fu Xiaolei, Zheng Liping and Zhang Xinyi won the UTMS60km, UTMS45km and UTMS35km women's championships respectively.
As a high-altitude event in the UTWT (Super Cross-Roading World Tour) series, the Super Cross-Roading of Sigu Niangshan is currently the most comprehensive and difficult cross-country running event in China. It has obtained points certification from the International Cross-Roading Association and the Mont Blanc Super Cross-Roading Event.
In recent years, Siguniangshan Scenic Area has made every effort to create an mountain outdoor sports project with the characteristics of Siguniangshan in accordance with the requirements of the local provincial party committee and government that "Siguniangshan should base itself on the unique resource endowment, improve special tourism, and strive to achieve differentiated development." The successful holding of the four consecutive Kaile Stone Ring Siguniang Mountain Super Cross-Road will further promote the creation of a national 5A-level scenic spot in the Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area, promote Xiaojin County to quickly build an international mountain outdoor sports tourism destination, and promote the good and rapid development of tourism in southern Aba.
