competition is divided into two groups: "Home Textile Creative Drawing Group" and "Overall Soft Decoration Design Group". It is understood that the theme of this competition is "National Style·Grand View" , which means taking the Chinese cultural style as the core and the oriental artistic color as the means, and the ultimate goal is to show international fashion works with Chinese style. The competition demonstrates a series of innovative, creative and creative home textile designs, highlights large design, new horizons and high-quality design creativity, thereby creating a poetic living lifestyle with Chinese charm.
For this topic, Jia Jingsheng explained that the theme of "National Style·Grand View" aims to show creative design with Chinese elements and Chinese cultural heritage. China has a long history and a profound cultural heritage. It expresses creative works from the perspective of "national style" and has a higher level of theme significance.
Speaking of the contestants' works, Jia Jingsheng said that the overall entries can be described as "fearless". The so-called "fearless" has advantages and blind obedience. In terms of advantages, is the first, and those who know are fearless of the design works of "post-90s" and "post-00s" are "highly courageous and strongly energetic" . It reflects the vitality, vitality and creative thinking of young people. Second, those who know are artistic . The entries reflect a certain level of artistic level and are interpreting the theme in combination with their own profession. Third, those who know are good . The entries reflect a certain amount of cultural accumulation. Some people start from the perspectives of opera, architecture, etc., and some express themselves from the context of folk art and urban, all have their own unique personality and cultural taste.
He also mentioned that there are certain shortcomings in this work, which is also related to "fearlessness". "Whoever is fearless" involves inadequate consideration. First of all, the work is not transformed enough, and there are many imaginations of imagination, but the implementation is not enough, so there is still a certain distance between converting the work into a product. Secondly, some works are not close enough to the home textile category, such as simple clothing or silk scarves.

"Haining Home Textile Cup" competition has been developing for 17 years, and its scale has been continuously improved, its work level has been continuously improved, and its cohesion has become stronger and stronger, which makes the competition have an authoritative position and influence in the industry. As the executive director of the judging committee of this competition, Wang Yi, vice president of the China Textile Industry Association and senior arts and crafts artist, said: "The development of the 'Haining Home Textile Cup' competition in the past 17 years is not easy. The China Textile Association and the Haining government have been working hard for the same goal. For example, in the 2015 competition, a 16-year review exhibition was held at the Guangzhou Provincial Museum in 2018. This year, an online registration and evaluation system was developed. The entries were uniformly printed and displayed by the organizers. All of these are for the competition to have a more healthy development."
Speaking of the entries of this competition, Wang Yi said that this year's works are more in line with the theme compared with previous ones, which shows that under the guidance of the competition theme, the contestants can pay attention to and understand the local Chinese culture.But the disadvantage is that the design elements of many works are used in a relatively single and repetitive manner, which shows that the contestants’ understanding of the “national style” is not deep enough or wide enough.
"At present, the competition needs to think more about how to implement the works and improve the market conversion rate of the works. In the future, we will have more explorations, such as starting multi-party cooperation with 'copyright' from the perspective of protecting originality. In the future, the organizers will promote the competition to continue to move forward through continuous reform and innovation." Wang Yi said.
Du Yingchi, Party Secretary of Xucun Town, Haining City, CPC Central Committee, also talked about the issue of the implementation of the work. He said that as an industrial cluster, we also hope that the contestants' works will be closer to the market and integrate with the market. But judging from the works of the competition over the years, there are indeed not many that can be truly converted into products. Next, more exploration is needed to promote the implementation of works, which is also the direction of the competition's future efforts.
According to the reporter, the competition has received extensive participation from home textile enterprises, studios, design majors, and design enthusiasts. According to statistics, the Home Textile Creative Drawing Group received 2,076 works from 67 colleges, 23 companies and studios this year, an increase of about 25% compared with the number of works in the competition last year. In the end, the competition judges will award 1 gold medal, 3 silver medal, 5 bronze medal, and 20 excellent medals.
