On the afternoon of April 12, the 2021 Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence Industry Summit Forum and Humen "Technology and Finance Month" launch ceremony was held in Dongguan Humen Town. In this year's "Technology and Finance Month", Humen will focus on the two major directions of "artificial intelligence industry" and "introduction of innovative talents", and hold a number of activities such as talent special lectures, small and medium-sized enterprises integration and enterprise matching meetings, and financial knowledge general education publicity activities to better promote the integrated development of industries, science and technology and finance in the town.
In recent years, Humen has adhered to the "dual-wheel drive" of scientific and technological innovation and institutional innovation, and the potential of scientific and technological innovation has been continuously released. There are 288 national high-tech enterprises in the town, 242 self-built R&D institutions for above-scale enterprises, 17 provincial and municipal engineering technology research centers, 3 municipal key laboratories, and 2 science and technology incubator carriers. In 2020, Humen Town’s above-scale enterprises invested 1.59 billion yuan in R&D expenses (RD) and successfully passed the “Dongguan Innovation and Strong Town Construction Project” project. It has 1 listed company, 2 companies registered for approval and counseling, and 3 listed reserve companies in Dongguan.
In order to better promote the integrated development of industry, technology and finance, the Humen Town Committee and Town Government decided to hold the "Technology and Finance Month" event in April every year. Since its first office in 2018, more than 50 summit forums, policy presentations, and financing docking have been organized, which has facilitated the reach of a credit of about 4 billion yuan between technology companies and banks, opening up a new path for Humen to improve the system and mechanism for the integrated development of science and technology and finance.
According to Huang Peimin, a member of the Party Committee of Humen Town, the "1+4" supporting policy series of supporting policies issued in Humen Town to accelerate the promotion of high-quality economic development" issued in 2020 will focus on four major areas: promoting the development of an open economy, strengthening financial service guarantees, promoting the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industries, and deepening innovation-driven development. A total of 100 million yuan of fiscal funds will be allocated every year to strengthen guidance and support. In all aspects, it will radiate the key links such as R&D investment, innovation carrier, technological transformation, quality improvement and efficiency improvement, listing financing, bonded logistics, e-commerce and foreign trade in the process of enterprise development, and strive to form a group of enterprises with active innovation and outstanding driving effects, and accelerate the high-quality economic development of Humen Town.
It is understood that this year's Humen Science and Technology Finance Month event is themed "Technology Leads, Finance Helps Promotes High-Quality Development", focusing on the two major directions of "artificial intelligence industry" and "introducing innovative talents".
