According to Chinese producer Lin Wei, the TV series "My American Family" tells a series of stories happening in the process of an international student from Europe, Alexander Mariinsky, who came to California and pursued his own American Dream . The protagonist Malinsky once lived in China, studied culture and martial arts, and spoke fluent English, Spanish and Chinese Mandarin. In Hollywood , Mariinsky boarded in a Mexican American family and created a series of stories of cultural differences with his landlord and his daughter, as well as his new friends.
