In order to further improve the academic and scientific research capabilities of foreign language teachers, on April 21, the Foreign Languages Department of Fujian Normal University invited Professor Lin Peixuan from the School of Foreign Languages of Fujian Normal University to give a cloud-based lecture entitled "Common Hesitation on the Road to Scientific Research".
Professor Lin Peixuan took his own scientific research growth as an example to talk about the importance of scientific research to college teachers, and shared his scientific research secrets: First, from "from one to the end" to "interdisciplinary perspective integration", we must maintain the consistency of research direction and the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge; second, the writing of scientific research articles requires three "new" and two "meaning", that is, when writing papers, we must maintain a new perspective, new theories, and new materials, while taking into account both academic and contemporary significance; second, attitude determines everything, maintain the enthusiasm and temperature of scientific research, endure loneliness, and withstand setbacks; finally, cultivate flowers and hearts, cultivate personal interests and hobbies, and cultivate temperament. Afterwards, Professor Lin Peixuan exchanged with the teachers on "focusing on the importance of daily accumulation in scientific research" and proposed its significance for interdisciplinary integration. At the lecture, Professor Lin Peixuan also answered questions such as ecological compound translation model and machine translation.
The teachers at the meeting said that the lecture provided a new perspective on interdisciplinary integration for foreign language research, which helped to expand scientific research ideas, and was full of practical content and benefited a lot.
