reporter learned from the latest telecommunications and network fraud police report released by the Linqing Municipal Public Security Bureau that since August 5, Linqing City has promoted the installation of the National Anti-Fraud Center APP across the city. As of October 10, a total of 377,503 people in the city have registered and installed the National Anti-Fraud Center APP, with 2,565 new people this week, with an installation rate of 47.51%. From October 4 to October 10, the Linqing Municipal Public Security Bureau successfully stopped paying 7 bank cards, with a total of 288,000 yuan in stop payments, and more than 1,200 warnings and dissuading them.
Judging from the types of cases, the top two types of cases involving telecommunications and network fraud this week are: order-brushing fraud and loan fraud.
According to the police statistics this week, women aged 25 to 40 of the victims mainly use order-brushing fraud, accounting for 50% of the victims; men aged 20 to 30 of the victims mainly use loan fraud, accounting for 40% of the victims.
Typical cases
Case 1: Order brushing fraud. On October 4, 2021, a resident of a village in Weiwan Town (female, 25 years old) called the police and said that he saw a blogger named "Duzi Wu Toothless" on Weibo post a message to recruit customer service. After inquiry, under the guidance of the other party, he downloaded the "Qipintong" APP to register an account and bind a bank card. In accordance with the guidance of "Song Yali", he registered an account on the "Amazon" platform within "Qizengtong" and conducted overseas purchasing agents to earn commissions. After paying 35,500 yuan to do three consecutive orders, I did not receive a commission and found out that I was cheated (I did not install the registered National Anti-Fraud Center APP, and I heard the anti-fraud propaganda content played by the "Village Ring" loudspeaker, but I didn't pay attention).
Case 2: Game recharge fraud. On October 5, 2021, a resident of the Pioneer Road Street Office called the police that his son (8 years old) used his mobile phone to play games and added a QQ friend. The other party promised to take his child to do game tasks and cheat his Alipay account and password away "recharge", resulting in his Alipay balance being transferred out of more than 1,000 yuan, and "Huabei" overdrawing more than 14,000 yuan, a total loss of 15,014 yuan (the registered National Anti-Fraud Center APP was not installed).
Case 3: Loan fraud. On October 8, 2021, a resident (male, 37 years old) from the Pioneer Road Street Office called the police and said that he received a loan call asking whether he needed a loan and had no interest or guarantee. Fill in personal information according to the other party's requirements. The other party asked him to transfer money on the grounds that the bank card number is entered incorrectly, the approval is required to pay a deposit, and the credit report is not up to standard. He was cheated of 104,099 yuan (the National Anti-Fraud Center APP has been installed and the call warning has not been opened).
Case 4: Order brushing fraud. On October 10, 2021, a resident (female, 32 years old) in Xinhua Street called the police and said that he saw part-time information while browsing Douyin and downloaded the "Zhongzhou Technology" APP according to the other party's requirements. The platform liaison officer asked him to join the "E-commerce Technology Task" WeChat group and swipe orders in the group to do tasks. Each order needs to transfer the funds of his account to the customer service account. After swiping six consecutive tasks, I found that I was cheated, totaling 131,570 yuan (uninstalled immediately after installing and registering the National Anti-Fraud Center APP).
Linqing Anti-Fraud Center reminds: "Three no one and one more" should be kept in mind. Don't click on unknown links, don't trust unfamiliar calls, don't disclose personal information, and verify more money transfers. If you encounter telecommunications fraud, call 110 to report the police in time.
