Beijing in early autumn is bright and clear. At 19 o'clock in the evening, I walked to the south gate of Taihu Dance and Art Center of the National Grand Theater. The music with a sharp rhythm from afar was the first to collide with the audience. The cheerful and leisurely "atmosphere" of the weekend was instantly in place. After entering the ticket check, in the instrument experience area in front of the left, the children were casually beating the drum drum, which was very stylish. Many viewers were also attracted by the market on the right. With tickets to the opening performance of the "2022 Taihu Jazz Festival", everyone received free snacks and drinks. Neon lights flashed on the lawn, and three or five friends raised their glasses around the small table to drink. Looking up, the sunset was sunset, and in the blue sky, white clouds were dyed with the golden glow of the sunset, and several planes flew across the sky from time to time...

On August 26, the 2022 "Taihu Jazz Music Festival" of the National Grand Theater officially kicked off at the Taihu Open Amphitheater. As night falls, the lights dye the stage a hazy and romance like the starry sky. The Blue Note China Jazz Band is the first to appear on stage under the leadership of composer and trombone performer Yang Ming. The opening work "Band Starts" is played, and the colors of the golden age of jazz music in the last century come to the face.
The big band is the most representative form of jazz. It has been performed so far since its birth in the 1920s. The big band is usually composed of 10 to 20 musicians and singers, with rich instruments, comprehensive voice settings, and brilliant timbre changes. In the first half of the performance, the Blue Note China Jazz Band used 7 classic works to showcase traditional swing, Latin music , funk and other styles. The solos of each part, the hierarchical three-dimensional band ensemble and other details have won the audience's warm applause; in the second half, the gathering of Chinese and European jazz stars showed another scene of jazz. Performers from all over the world performed "Wartings in the Safe House" and "Your Sweet Routine". They express the ever-changing emotions and images in the creative and arrangement of jazz music with their unrestrained notes.

"These different styles are really refreshing!" Mr. Yang sighed. He used his mobile phone to collect many beautiful scenes about this night. "The lighting and stage design of the scene were particularly attentive. Being able to enjoy food and music on such a beautiful night is the best way to spend the weekend."
"The Taihu Stage Art Center is very special. It is located in the Taihu Performing Arts Town, which is a leisurely and green space." Li Zhixiang, deputy director of the National Grand Theater, said, "Through last year's exploration, we found that jazz was particularly attractive to young people. People are concerned that this casual form of music is very well combined with the Taihu Stage Art Center. We hope that this place can be operated differently with the theater located in the city center, and we hope to show the audience more art categories on the platform of the National Grand Theater."

to August 31, in the five-day "Taihu Jazz Festival", more than 10 bands and nearly 10 jazz performers will take turns to show the latest trends of the world and Chinese jazz. In addition to open-air performances, the on-site food, cultural and creative experiences, markets and other experiences will also lead the audience to immerse themselves in understanding the charm of jazz. The performance on the evening of August 27 will be broadcast live simultaneously on multiple online platforms such as National Grand Theater Classical Music Channel , etc., allowing the relaxed and romance of jazz to reach more audiences.
