China News Network reporter Zhu Xiaoying
In Jiangsu, the highland with the most dense Taiwanese capital in mainland China, how have Taiwanese enterprises gone through the past ten years and how have they developed? Recently, a reporter from China News Service followed the Taiwan Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province to visit many Taiwanese-funded enterprises and listened to their answers.
"The market is super big", "the career size has increased exponentially", "I made many close friends", "I fell in love with the life here"... Taiwanese businessmen have different answers. Many people live and work here, get married and have children, and get a good harvest in both career and family.

Taiwan-funded enterprise settled in Jiangsu for a long time.
In the 1980s, with the emergence of Taiwanese compatriots visiting relatives in the mainland, many Taiwanese businessmen saw that the mainland's reform and opening up policies contained unlimited business opportunities, so they crossed the ocean and became the first entrepreneurs to "land" to make a move. The Yangtze River Delta region with a developed economy and convenient transportation has become the first place for many Taiwanese businessmen.
At that time, Jiangsu, which had both manufacturing strengths and land labor cost advantages, attracted many Taiwanese-funded enterprises from manufacturing peers to invest and set up factories here.

Nanjing Hanyu Caixin Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hanyu Caixin"), is an LCD screen manufacturing factory located in Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is affiliated to Huaxin Lihua, a leading enterprise in Taiwan's wire and cable industry. Today, Huaxin Lihua has diversified business and is spread all over the mainland.
Hanyu Caixin has been deeply engaged in Nanjing, Jiangsu for 20 years. The company's head, Ke Jifeng, is the current "superator". Although he is not a "old veteran" in entrepreneurship, he is still very moved when he recalled the scale and development speed of the company when it opened 20 years ago.
"I heard from my senior that we had won several pieces of land at that time, and at the peak we recruited more than 8,000 employees, preparing to do a big fight." Ke Jifeng recalled.
In 2017, the mainland became the largest production base in the world with LCD panel production capacity. The domestic demand market is huge and favorable policies are frequently encountered. Hanyu Caixin has taken advantage of this "east wind" to enter the TV screen and mobile phone screen fields, and has gained a lot.
In recent years, the mainland's new energy vehicle market has risen strongly. As a leader in the business, Ke Jifeng keenly smelled the business opportunities in the auto market. He led the company to transform and focused his R&D and production energy mainly on the "screen" on people's cars.
"Through efforts, we have reached cooperation with major mainland automobile brands. Last year, the company's revenue reached 1 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), and the market share of in-vehicle screens is still increasing." Ke Jifeng said.
In the past decade, new technologies and applications such as the Internet, artificial intelligence, and blockchain have emerged one after another. Many Taiwanese businessmen have made great progress by grasping the "key" of new technologies.

The company's chairman Zhang Shunlong sighed that the company has been established for 18 years. From an industry "new recruit" to more than 900 patented products, the company has gradually grown into a national-level "specialized, specialized, and new little giant" enterprise, and is now an invisible champion enterprise in the field of electronic precision testing instrument manufacturing.
walked into the factory, and the automated production line was busy running, and only a few workers were operating the instruments in some processes.
Zhang Shunlong said that in April this year, the new grid simulator independently developed by the company was launched for mass production.Compared with similar products in Europe and the United States, the grid simulator has obvious performance advantages. 2,000 units have been sold in less than half a year, and orders are spread across more than 20 countries and regions around the world.
"It is expected that this new power grid simulator can mass-produce 3,000 units throughout the year, with a output value of about 100 million yuan." Zhang Shunlong said.
In recent years, the scale of Taiwanese capital in Jiangsu Province has been growing and growing. From
to 2022, Jiangsu has been among the top provinces and cities in mainland China for 18 consecutive years. By the end of July this year, Jiangsu had approved more than 30,000 Taiwanese-funded projects, with actual Taiwanese-funded funds exceeding US$86.5 billion.
The economic integration of Soviet and Taiwan is deepening. As many Taiwanese businessmen said in the interview, "Standing from a new starting point, the future will be more than a new decade!" (End)
