At 28th, the "2022 World University Influence Ranking" was released by Times Higher Education (Times Higher Education , THE).
022 Times Higher Education World University Influence Ranking records the work of 1524 universities from 110 countries and regions around the world in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, resulting in a total of 18 rankings: a total ranking and a single ranking of 17 SDGs. A total of 1406 universities have entered the total ranking, and Australia Western Sydney University ranked first in the world.
This year, a total of 20 mainland Chinese universities participated in the influence rankings, of which 13 were included in the total rankings, and the other 7 participated in the single rankings.
Fudan University participated in the influence ranking for the first time, ranking 27th in the world, is the highest-ranked mainland Chinese university in the overall ranking, and is the only mainland Chinese university in the top 100. Three mainland Chinese universities have entered the list for the first time in the world rankings, namely Fudan University, Southern University of Science and Technology and Southwest University of Petroleum .
In the single ranking of SDG1 (no poverty), Fudan University ranks 40th in the world, and is the only mainland Chinese university to enter the top 100 .
In the single ranking of SDG3 (good health and well-being), Wenzhou Medical University climbed from 56 last year to the top 32 of this single ranking . Capital Medical University participated in the ranking for the first time, entering the top 100, and ranked 54th in the world .
In the single ranking of SDG4 (quality education), Shanghai Normal University ranks 65th in the world , South China Normal University also ranked 94th in the world .
In the single ranking of SDG6 (cleaning water and sanitation facilities), Fudan University (67th place), entering the top 100 in the world.
In the single ranking of SDG7 (economy and applicable clean energy), Fudan University topped the list . Shanghai University (42) entered the list for the first time , entering the top 50 in the world. China University of Petroleum (Beijing) (73rd place) enters the top 100 in the world.
In the single ranking of SDG8 (decent work and economic growth), there are 2 mainland Chinese universities ranked in the top 10 in the world, Fudan University (second place) and Southern University of Science and Technology (ninth place) .
In the single ranking of SDG 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure), has 6 mainland Chinese universities ranked in the top 100 in the world .
In the single ranking of SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities), Fudan University (84th place) and Shanghai University (93rd place) once again entered the top 100 in the world.
In the single ranking of SDG 13 (Climate Action), Fudan University (65th place) , entering the top 100 in the world.
In the single ranking of SDG 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions), Fudan University (7th place), entering the top 10 in the world, and Shanghai University (50th place) entered the top 100 in the world.
