Overseas Network, December 20th 20, police in Taoyuan City, Taiwan arrested a male chicken thief. The man surnamed Qiu stole 323 chickens from rural areas of Taoyuan City in two months, and made a profit of at least 300,000 yuan (NT$, the same below, approximately RMB 70,000).
According to Taiwan’s Dongsen News Network, Taoyuan police said on the 20th that since October, the suspect surnamed Qiu has been searching for rural chicken farms in Taoyuan. After he fell in love with which chicken, he took advantage of the night to destroy the chicken house and steal more than 300 chickens in two months. In addition, he often stocks the chickens in the farmland, and when they are good, they will sell them in the market, making illegal profits of at least more than 300,000 yuan (about 70,000 yuan).
Deputy captain of the investigation team of the Bade Branch of Taoyuan City said: "Today (20th), the police seized 59 chickens on the thief's car on the spot. At present, the suspect named Qiu has succeeded more than a dozen times. He is now handed over to the Taoyuan Municipal Procuratorate Office for investigation for suspected theft."
