Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania al-Mashat responded in a tweet saying that he admired Musk's achievements very much, but urged Musk to further explore evidence about the pyramids built for Egyptian pharaohs. She said visiting the tombs of the pyramid builders is proof.
Experts say that the ancient tombs discovered in the 1990s are conclusive evidence that these magnificent buildings were indeed built by the ancient Egyptians.

Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Havas also responded in a short Arabic video posted on social media, saying Musk's statement was "completely hallucinated." He said, "I discovered the tomb of the pyramid builders. It told everyone that the Egyptians built the pyramids were the Egyptians, and they were not slaves."
Then, Musk retweeted a link to the BBC History website on Twitter, which detailed the article about the life of the pyramid builders and wrote: "This article from the BBC makes a clear summary of the construction of the pyramids."
There are more than 100 existing pyramids, the most famous of which is Egypt's Giza Great Pyramid - up to 450 feet (137 meters). Most of the pyramids were built as graves and were the last resting place for the Egyptian royal family.
