In the 1960s, the wave of anti-Chinese exorcising in Indonesian was surging. Lin Xiongshen, an Indonesian overseas Chinese, returned to China with his family and settled in Haikou Dongge Farm in Fuqing, and got married to Lin Zhitao, a local young man from Haikou Town. In January 1970, their son Lin Xiongshen was born.
In his hometown of Fuqing Haikou, Lin Xiongshen spent his carefree childhood. In this small coastal town in eastern Fujian, backed by continuous mountains and facing the vast blue ocean, every beach, every soft local accent, and every ancient food spot in my hometown have become an indelible childhood memory in Lin Xiongshen's bones.
In 1981, with the east wind of China's reform and opening up, 11-year-old Lin Xiongshen moved to Hong Kong with his parents. In the 1980s, Lin Xiongshen witnessed his father's entire process from an authentic migrant worker to running a print processing factory early and late, and then to establishing an international investment group.

Atypical "rich second generation"
In Lin Xiongshen's eyes, the father is not only a father, but also a good teacher and friend. Recalling the early 1990s, when he started his business in his hometown in his early 20s, Lin Xiongshen laughed and said that he could be said to be a so-called "rich second generation", but it was atypical.
Since 1991, Lin Xiongshen, who returned to Fuzhou, Fujian with his father, became a "transferred person" in Fujian Yonghong Group founded by his father. As the successor, he is the key training target and is constantly circulating among various departments of the company, familiar with and understand the company's various aspects of the company's business. Except for the financial department, Lin Xiongshen stayed almost all of the company's departments at that time. Business learning during this period laid a solid foundation for Lin Xiongshen's future entrepreneurial journey.
As it continues to grow, after 2000, Lin Xiongshen began to gradually take over the company's overall business operations. Lin Xiongshen still remembers the true "first pot of gold" in his life. It was in 2007, when the investment and business bureau planned to sell more than 1,000 acres of land around the Zhangzhou campus of Xiamen University. Because the school has not yet been built and is located in a remote location, the unit price per mu of land sold is less than one million, and no one cares about it. Lin Xiongshen, who heard the news, became interested. In his opinion, there is a market where there are people and there is money to make money, and the establishment of a school can bring traffic to the local area.
It’s time to do it, Lin Xiongshen bought a thousand acres of land around the Zhangzhou campus of Xiamen University in one go. Soon, Lin Xiongshen's vision was confirmed.Within five years, due to the resource aggregation role played by school construction, transportation infrastructure such as roads, subways, bridges and other transportation infrastructure have been continuously improved, local land prices have risen, and Lin Xiongshen Company's turnover has also doubled.

Recalling the romantic childhood spent in his hometown of Haikou, Fuqing, Lin Xiongshen had a "secret paradise" in his heart, which was the fruit forest farm contracted by his grandfather, who was the captain of the production team of the Haikou 29 team.
"The fruit forest farm is a treasure land of Feng Shui, with a concave terrain, protected by wind and rain. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. It grows well no matter what it plantes." In the fruit forest farm full of fruits such as longan, grapes, loquats, etc., Lin Xiongshen played and helped with farm work as a child, and spent his unforgettable childhood years.
Grandpa’s fruit forest farm is not only a “treasure land” in Lin Xiongshen’s eyes, but also a concern that his father Lin Zhitao cannot cut in his heart. In the early 1990s, when Lin Xiongshen and his son turned their career focus from Hong Kong to their hometown of Fujian, the fruit forest farm in their hometown had long been abandoned. In order to regain vitality in the fruit forest farm, Lin Zhitao began to purchase trees and seedlings from all over the country in large quantities, plant or transplant them into the forest land where the fruit forest farm was located at that time, and planned to build the fruit forest land into a comprehensive botanical garden.

In his opinion, the cultural industry in his hometown Fuqing and even Fujian Province has great room for growth, and culture is the soul and blood of a city, and the development level of the cultural industry is the "barometer" of urban civilization and development level. Therefore, in recent years, Lin Xiongshen has built a Yonghong Cultural City with a planned land of more than 3,000 acres in his hometown of Haikou Town, which integrates cultural city, botanical garden, wildlife world, hot spring resort center, racing park, international cinema, and banquet center, and will become a comprehensive cultural tourism industry agglomeration for the whole country. At present, the second phase of the project has been completed in total four phases, and Yonghong Cultural City has also officially opened to the public in 2018.
Everything is difficult at the beginning, and innovation is even more difficult. Lin Xiongshen admitted that Yonghong Cultural City should have officially opened in 2015, but because of the geographical location of his hometown Haikou Town, he did not have an advantage in resource aggregation, this innovative and grand project construction was questioned in the early stage, which caused the project to encounter obstacles and difficulties in the construction process. Many people even persuaded Lin Xiongshen to give up the development of cultural projects in his hometown.
