Rachada said that the October opening of the national gates and foreign travel plan announced by the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Prayut is not a mandatory requirement to be opened when it expires. This plan is like a goal proposed by the Thai authorities that all parties need to work together, hoping to achieve this goal through the efforts of the Thai government, the private sector and the people. As for whether it can be truly realized, it depends on the actual situation. If the number of people infected with in Thailand's new crown remains high by then, and the public health measures have not been fully prepared, the original opening hours will be postponed.
On July 1, Thailand has launched the "Phuket Sandbox Plan" to open Phuket to welcome overseas tourists.
