Xie Minghui was a criminal police officer. He served as deputy director of the police branch. Later, he was elected as a "National Congress representative" in politics. 15 years ago, he and NTU professors Lin Jianfu , Peng Jinpeng and others founded the Taiwan Competitiveness Forum, a private think tank, which had a considerable influence in the political and academic circles on the island. Last year, he founded the Chinese Poetry and Art Association and was elected as the chairman, aiming to promote and inherit Chinese art and culture.
"Poetry Chinese" contains more than 1,000 poems written by Xie Minghui in his life. It is divided into six major parts, including Tang poetry, Song lyrics, modern poetry , original new style poetry , haiku , and poetry review. The content covers the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, the international, the epidemic, history, ancient and modern events, as well as mountains, rivers, the sun, moon, stars, wind, flowers, snow and moon.
The guests who attended the book signing meeting today include Xie Ligong, Secretary-General of the People's Party of Taiwan, Su Jinqiang, former Secretary-General of the Chinese Culture Association, General President of the Joint Military, Public, Education, Police and Consumer Affairs of Taiwan, Liu Shengliang, and former "Secretary-General of the Examination House" Lin Shuiji, etc., who are all over the world.
Xie Minghui revealed at the meeting that his hobby of reciting poems and essays was developed since he was a child. At that time, he liked to recite "Three Hundred Tang Poems". When he was in college, other students read professional textbooks, and he read a lot of miscellaneous poems, which laid a good foundation for the association later. He said that after retirement, he focused on poetry creation and hoped to do his best to contribute to the development of poetry and prose on the island.
Su Jinqiang praised it. "Poetry Chinese" is unique in the literary world on the island today. Xie Minghui's poems are well written and his lyrics are also well written. The poems are not only personal feelings, but also show the pulse of society. It can be seen that his heart is full of passion for Chinese culture and enthusiasm for society and land.
