"This is the first power positioning ship in China that can carry out high-speed cruise and low-speed inspection of 500 kV submarine cables, filling the technical gap in domestic submarine cable operation and maintenance inspection." According to reports, the total length of the submarine cable operation and maintenance ship is 49.9 meters, width of 8.0 meters, maximum draft of 2.6 meters, total displacement of 421 tons, maximum speed of 20 knots, and wind resistance level 7. The ship is equipped with fully automated equipment such as DP1 power positioning system and underwater remote control robots. The ship can last 1,000 nautical miles and has a self-sustaining capacity of 30 days.
This ship is a submarine cable operation and maintenance ship that is targeted for complex operating environments with high currents, lateral currents and low visibility in the Qiongzhou Strait. It has developed and equipped with a marine broadband automatic tracking antenna system for the first time to realize wireless routing communication in the submarine cable protection area. It can automatically track the directional transmission signals of the submarine cable terminal stations on both sides throughout the process, and send back the video, voice, text and data of the submarine cable emergency response and detection operations in real time, so as to realize the real-time communication and communication of submarine cable protection data and command instructions.
It is worth noting that the underwater robot system equipped with submarine cable operation and maintenance ships is the first robot in the power industry to carry out submarine cable detection with acoustic, optical, and electromagnetic detection equipment. It can realize submarine cable routing and buried depth live detection, thereby maximizing the underwater operation status of 500 kV submarine cables and providing a scientific basis for taking targeted submarine cable protection measures.
It is understood that after the submarine cable operation and maintenance ship is put into use, inspection, inspection and emergency work will be carried out to provide all-weather "nanny-style" protection for submarine cables.
