November 10th Spanish government passed new traffic regulations today, and these measures will take effect on on January 2, 2021 . includes:
1. New speed limit
When there is no height difference between the sidewalk and the road, the speed limit of one-way road is 20 km /h
If the street has only one lane in all directions, the speed must not exceed 30 km /h
If the street has two or more lanes in each direction, the speed limit will be maintained at 50 km /h
2. Electric scooters are included in the vehicle management category
Personal traffic equipment (the maximum speed must be between 6 and 25 km/h) including electric scooters will be included in the vehicle category for management. Scooters prohibit from driving on sidewalks and can only drive on bicycle lanes or motor vehicle lanes. Violators are fined 500 euros. Vehicles used by persons with reduced mobility are not included.

3. New points rule
