Macau New Coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center stated on the 1st that after communication and consultation between Macau and Zhuhai and Zhongshan governments, from the 3rd, relevant personnel entering the country for school and returning to school through Zhuhai Macao port will not be subject to centralized isolation medical observation.
The scope of returnees who have not yet been subject to centralized isolation and medical observation include: 1. Macau students studying in schools in Zhuhai and ; 2. Students living in Zhuhai and Zhongshan and studying in Macao schools; 3. Macau teachers and Macau staff living in Zhuhai and Zhongshan and working in Macao schools; 4. Macau teachers and Macau staff living in Macao and working in schools in Zhuhai and Zhongshan and working in Macao schools; 5. A parent of the above-mentioned students under the age of 18.
Director of Operations and Communications Department of the Macau Public Security Police Bureau Ma Chaoxiong: must bring the following supporting materials when entering the country: First, valid student ID, teacher ID or employee work certificate printed by schools in Macau, Zhuhai or Zhongshan; Second, parents accompanying parents must hold written supporting materials issued by the school or education department; Third, a certificate of negative nucleic acid test results issued by a qualified institution or Zhuhai City nucleic acid test sampling certificate issued by relevant departments in Zhongshan City.
As of 17:00 on May 1, Macau has had no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 for 23 consecutive days. Considering that the epidemic in Macau has eased, the Macau education department earlier decided that non-higher education schools will resume classes in stages starting from May 4.
