"Wave" class is the first frigate designed and built by Iran itself. It is actually designed as a model for the "Alvad" class light frigate they purchased from the British VT shipyard in the 1970s. The overall configuration of the two is similar, but since Iran cannot create a ship-use gas turbine with extremely high requirements for the aero engine industry, the "Wave" class uses All-Chai-Chai-Combined Power (CODAD), while the "Alvad" class uses Chia-Chai-Burning Alternating Power (CODAG). Overall, the "wave" class is a frigate that focuses on the sea and takes into account air defense. Its main weapon is four anti-ship missile launch boxes at the back of the hull. It was equipped with the "Nur" (C802 imitation type) in the early days, with a range of 120 kilometers. The shore ship type once injured Israel's Saar 5 frigate , and now it has been replaced by the "Kadel" with a range of 300 kilometers. Therefore, in terms of naval combat, it meets modern standards.
