After the flag-raising ceremony, staff from fire protection, medical and other units conducted anti-drowning rescue training for volunteers on the spot and carried out emergency drills on the banks of the Qingshui River.
It is reported that in order to effectively prevent drowning incidents, ensure the safety of people's lives, and build a work mechanism for drowning prevention led by party building, participation by the masses, and co-constructed by police and the people, since July this year, Wanxi Street and Wanxi Police Station have linked schools and health centers in the jurisdiction to implement the "drowning prevention" volunteer service project in Wanxi Street, widely mobilize volunteers to participate in the "drowning prevention" work, forming a working pattern of national linkage and whole-region co-construction.
As of now, volunteers have called and dissuaded 500 people, effectively curbing the occurrence of drowning accidents and ensuring the lives of the people in the jurisdiction.
