2. Historical process:
In 1624 AD, the Dutch East India Company first occupied Penghu Islands and then captured Tainan. In order to expand trade and military in Asia, it also built the first castle in Taiwan ( Jelancha City Zeelandia).

During the Japanese administration, the Japanese eradicate the city walls were eradicated and red brick platforms and Japanese customs buildings were rebuilt. During the Dutch occupation, when Zheng Chenggong led his troops out of the Dutch, the castle buildings were almost completely destroyed. After several constructions, they became today's memorial hall. In 1945, the Taiwan Restoration Government renamed it to [Anping Ancient Castle]. Currently, the remains of the walls of the Jincun section are for people to express their thoughts about the ancient times. Currently, the foreign building we see was converted from a customs building in 1930. After renovation in 1975, it was launched to introduce the history and style of Anping from the Dutch period to the present day. The content also includes illustrations of the distribution of temples and historical sites in Anping area, the trade and military of the Dutch East India company, the historical sites of Zheng and the treaty of Zheng He, and the pictures and texts of Shen Baozhen in Taiwan, and also displays models such as [Relanzha City], Dongji Foreign Company, Dongxing Foreign Company, and private houses.
