According to Yang Guang, president of the branch of the People's Bank of China Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, the "Cross-Strait E Account Connect" system will be connected to the Pingtan cross-strait Yougou e-commerce platform, innovate the cross-border RMB service model, realize seamless connection between banks and e-commerce trading platforms, and provide merchants who have settled in the platform with more convenient, fast and low-cost cross-border RMB payment services. In addition, the system also fully applies electronic documents (electronic transaction data) audits. Enterprises can upload electronic documents through the trading platform and send cross-border RMB settlement instructions, from online transactions to information review to cross-strait remittances, greatly improving the efficiency of online transaction settlement on the cross-strait.
"In the past, due to large amounts and many links, the B2B transactions on the cross-strait line were not synchronized with offline settlement. After the 'Cross-Strait e Account Connect' system was launched, it could effectively solve this problem, thereby achieving the purpose of three-in-one capital flow, information flow, and logistics, and further smoothing the green channel for cross-border RMB services." Lin Xinlu, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Economic Development Bureau of the Experimental Zone and a fourth-level researcher, said.
"The main method of traditional cross-border e-commerce payment is to remit money through offline banks. In this process, the capital flow and information flow are separated, and the process is relatively cumbersome." Li Zidian, chairman of Fujian Zhongtan International Trade Co., Ltd., told reporters that now, you only need to place an order online, click the mouse and choose the cash-on-delivery method. After confirming receipt, you can complete the payment online. The whole process is only 3 to 5 minutes, saving you time to operate and queue at the offline bank counter, and truly realizing "Taobao-style" cross-strait cross-border online trade.
reporter learned that the cross-strait Yougou e-commerce platform was launched in Pingtan in June last year. It mainly serves the agricultural and fishery product operators on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, matches upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, gathers suppliers, farmers' associations, fishermen's associations, buyers, cross-strait traders and other groups, and creates an online trading platform for cross-strait agricultural and fishery products, providing a variety of transaction services such as instant transactions, purchase and pre-sales, bidding and auctions of Taiwan's agricultural and fishery products.
In the next step, Pingtan will fully combine cross-border e-commerce bonded imports, small-scale commodity trading markets with Taiwan, shipping express delivery, general trade import and export formats, expand the trading and service scope of cross-strait e-commerce platform, attract more high-quality suppliers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, focus on building fresh food, consumer products, tourism and cultural innovation sections, build the platform into an international trade platform for cross-border commodities, further strengthen cross-strait agricultural and fishery product trading cooperation, promote economic and trade exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan, and help cross-strait integration and development.
