China Taiwan Network, December 27th According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency", Taipei City's "Legislator" candidate Pan Jianzhi recently accused that the Kuomintang "legislator" Jiang Wan'an provided prizes such as electric fans for voters to draw in the election. It was invalid for bribery and the lawsuit was elected. Taiwan High Court today (27th) rejected the appeal, and Jiang Wan'an won the case.
Jiang Wanan, the fourth generation of the Jiang family and former "legislator" Jiang Xiaoyan, was accused by Pan Jianzhi, a competitor of the same constituency. During the election, he provided prizes such as bicycles and electric fans to let voters draw lottery, which affected his willingness to vote. Therefore, he sued Jiang Wanan for bribery and complained that he was elected invalid.
The Taipei District Court in the first instance sentenced to reject the plaintiff in May on the invalid election incident, and ruled that Jiang Wanan won the case, that is, the election was valid. After appeal, the Taiwan High Court today announced a verdict, upholding the first-instance judgment, and the appeal was rejected. The whole case is finalized.
In addition, Jiang Wanan was charged with bribery and the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office did not prosecute him in March. (China Taiwan Network Li Ning)
