1.Guangdong Institute of Petrochemical Engineering , its predecessor was Maoming College, In May 2010, the school was renamed Guangdong Institute of Petrochemical Engineering . Guangdong Institute of Petrochemical Engineering is a public general undergraduate university jointly built by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, China Petroleum and Natural Gas Corporation, and China Offshore Oil Corporation. It is the only petrochemical characteristic university in South China, a pilot university for the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Engineer Education Training Program" construction university, a university for the construction of high-level science and engineering universities in Guangdong Province, a project awarding and construction unit for the awarding of master's degree in Guangdong Province, and the first batch of pilot universities for the transformation of ordinary undergraduates in Guangdong Province. The school is located in the largest petrochemical production base and fruit production base in southern China, a beautiful coastal city - , Maoming City, Guangdong Province, with an area of 1.3467 million square meters (about 2,020 acres) (including the new campus). The school was founded in 1954. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "born from oil and dedicating to oil" and the tradition of "hard work, practical dedication", it has cultivated a large number of management elites, technical backbones and various application-oriented talents, which are spread throughout the petrochemical industry enterprises and government agencies at all levels, scientific research institutes, and education industries across the country. It has made important contributions to the petroleum and petrochemical industry and local economic and social development. 2. Maoming Vocational and Technical College . Maoming Vocational and Technical College was established in 2004 with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. It is the first full-time public higher vocational and technical college in Maoming City. The predecessor was the Maoming City Construction Secondary Vocational School founded in 1986. The school has three campuses: South Campus, North Campus and Renmin South, and has 13 national professional qualification appraisal test sites for jobs. It is a pilot unit for national professional core competence demonstration training. In June 2016, after approval by the China Construction Education Association, the only national BIM application skills test site was established in the school in western Guangdong. The school currently has more than 14,300 full-time general higher vocational students, 589 faculty and staff, more than 130 professors, associate professors and other senior professional titles, more than 340 teachers with doctoral and master's degrees, more than 320 teachers with dual-teacher quality, and 50 experts and scholars from home and abroad, scientific research institutes and well-known enterprises, and more than 300 part-time teachers are hired to serve as visiting professors. The school now has 10 teaching departments (departments) including the Civil Engineering Department, Chemical Engineering Department, Mechanical and Electrical Information Department, Economic Management Department, Computer Engineering Department, Humanities and Media Department, Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Department, Social Science Basics Department, Adult Education Department, Technical College Department (Technical College School). 3. Guangdong Maoming Health Vocational College . Guangdong Maoming Health Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary vocational college
registered and established by the Ministry of Education in March 2015 with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It was founded on the basis of Maoming Health School, a national key technical secondary school with a history of 67 years of medical education. It was founded in 1960. It was formerly the Maoming Amateur Medical College School. It was later renamed several times after being relocated and was successively renamed to Maoming Health School, Maoming Traditional Chinese Medicine School, Maoming Health Continuing School, and Maoming Health School.In July 2015, Guangdong Maoming Health Vocational College was relocated from Maonan District to , Dianbai District, and established Guangdong Maoming Health Vocational College. It is currently the first higher vocational college in Guangdong and the second country to be named as the "Health Vocational College". It is the only medical and health higher vocational college in western Guangdong. It is the training base for scarce talents (nurturing) approved by the Ministry of Education, a unit of the Guangdong Elderly Industry and Education Alliance, a general practitioner training base in Maoming, a safe and civilized campus in Guangdong Province, and the first batch of "forest campuses" in Maoming. The college is located on the coast of the South China Sea , on the banks of the Shuidong Bay, the beautiful coastal green city Maoming Dianbai District . It is adjacent to Shenhai Expressway in the north, South China Sea in the south, Baomao Expressway in the west, and National Highway 325 in the east. The transportation is very convenient and the campus environment is elegant and pleasant.
4. Guangdong Maoming Preschool Normal College. Guangdong Maoming Preschool Normal College is a full-time public college approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is the first batch of preschool teacher colleges in the province. The school was formerly Guangdong Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering (Maoming College) Gaozhou Normal University. It was founded in 1930 and was a rural normal school in Maoming County. In 1949, it merged with Guangdong Gaozhou Women's Normal School into Guangdong Province. In 1980, it was renamed Guangdong Gaozhou Normal School, one of the 18 key secondary normal schools in the province. In 1993, it was piloted for the "three-two-segment" junior college, and it was one of the 36 trial schools in the country. In 2001, it was merged into Maoming College as a secondary college and renamed Maoming College Gaozhou Normal Branch; in 2010, it was renamed Gaozhou Normal College of Guangdong Petrochemical Engineering. In February 2016, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Guangdong Maoming Preschool Normal College based on the Gaozhou Normal University of Guangdong University of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering; in April of the same year, the school was registered with the Ministry of Education. The school currently has two campuses, Maoming and Gaozhou. There are 330 full-time teachers, 68 professors and associate professors; and 111 teachers with master's degree or above.
5. Guangdong Maoming Agriculture and Forestry Vocational College. Guangdong Maoming Agricultural Forestry Technical College is a full-time college at the junior college level sponsored by the Maoming Municipal People's Government approved by the Guangdong Provincial Government in 2018 and filed with the Ministry of Education. It is also one of the six agricultural and forestry universities in Guangdong Province. As of September 2018, the college has a total of 179 full-time teachers, 87 graduate students and 10 professors. The college focuses on the three major industries of agriculture, forestry and fishery, based in Maoming, facing Guangdong, and serving the "three rural areas". The college has set up 6 departments in food engineering, garden engineering, biotechnology, economic and trade, animal science, and mechanical and electrical engineering, with a total of 6 departments. In the early stages of its establishment, it has opened majors in horticulture technology, landscape garden design, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, food processing, e-commerce and other majors. It is planned to reach 6,000 students and 500 faculty and staff in three years. After the college is completed, it can train more than 2,000 applied and skilled talents in higher vocational colleges and universities for agriculture, forestry and fishery every year. So this is a relatively young college in Maoming.
