Taiwan has recently released several polls, and all of them show that the cross-strait policy since Tsai Ing-wen took office has been lowly recognized by the Taiwanese people, but this year it failed. Although the people have a certain understanding of the four uranium mentioned by Tsai Ing-wen in her speech at the Lin Shuangshiliu event, the people of Taiwan are highly dissatisfied with cross-strait relations and policies.
Taiwan polling agency "China Asia-Pacific Elite Exchange Association" released a poll on cross-strait relations on October 18 local time, titled "President" "National Day Speech and Recent Taiwan Strait Situation" and a poll on cross-strait relations. The survey results stated that for its cross-strait policy, only 47.7% of respondents mentioned "satisfaction", 24.3% were dissatisfied, and 28% did not make any statement. There are no more than 50% of Taiwanese people who express satisfaction.
On the same day, the United Daily News published the poll results of the "Annual Survey of Cross-Strait Relations". In terms of cross-strait military, political and diplomatic relations, the people continue to believe that they are "facing hostility". In terms of economic, trade and civil society interaction, the public believes that it is "relatively gentle". Regarding Tsai Ing-wen's performance in handling cross-strait relations, the satisfaction rate this year has dropped to 40%, while the dissatisfaction rate has increased to 48%. Compared with the past results, there has been a decline and a reversal.
, and Taiwanese people believe that "cross-strait civil interaction" is in good condition. Two-fifth percentile people feel that the cross-strait civil relations are warm, 43th percentile people think that the relationship is gentle, and only 28th percentile people feel that the relationship between the two sides is sluggish. The average score of cross-strait social relations is 5.8 points, making it the most popular among the five major fields. The survey shows that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait still maintain the situation of hot people, cold government, expectations from the people, and inaction by the government.
Taiwan’s civil intentions reveal that Tsai Ing-wen, the DPP’s administration, adopted a cross-strait policy that confronts the cross-strait policy. As Ma Ying-jeou was in power, he could not maintain the status quo and maintain peace and stability on the cross-strait, and make the people seriously lack a sense of security.
Second, the political deadlock between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait has never been resolved. The trend of escalating confrontation directly affects Taiwan's economy and trade, and even the livelihoods of the people of Taiwan. Taiwan’s agricultural product exports are the largest market, and cross-strait relations are unstable, so Taiwanese farmers cannot enjoy the advantages of this market.
Third, there are constant military crises on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The PLA military aircraft have increased, and the people do not want to see armed conflicts in the Taiwan Strait.
If the Tsai Ing-wen government does not face the polls, the two sides of the Taiwan Strait may go further and further.
