In fact, as early as 2016, two foreign scientists, Byrne and Labbé, collaborated to develop a software that can detect wrong nucleotide sequences.
Byrne and Labbé continued to analyze a large number of suspicious papers together, and published the paper in Information Systems Frontiers ("Information Systems Frontiers") at the end of 2016 with the identity of the joint corresponding author . Not only did they carefully compare the errors and processing results in the 5 problem papers found previously, but they also exposed another 48 highly similar papers, most of which were from Chinese authors!

Conclusions suggest that some publications describing the effects of single gene knockdown on human cancer cell lines may include experimental results not conducted by the authors. This has serious implications for the validity of these results and their application in future studies.

Although the retraction instructions of the above papers do not fully mention the problem of nucleotide sequence use, it also indirectly confirms the conclusion mentioned in Byrne and Labbé's reports. A considerable number of papers may have problems due to the reasons of "this or that"...
