From December 15th to 16th, the Shijiazhuang Red Cross Volunteer Service Work Summary and Commendation and Training Meeting was held. 10 volunteer service organizations including the Red Cross Volunteer Service Base of Weimin Community Service Center, 4 volunteer service projects including Shijiazhuang City's "Dissemination of Humanitarianism and Warm Provincial Capital", 45 volunteers including Fan Weiwei, and 5 volunteer service workers including Wang Fuqing were commended.
According to reports, Shijiazhuang City currently has 15 municipal Red Cross volunteer service teams, 3 volunteer service bases and 9 volunteer service workstations, basically achieving full coverage of the main urban area. In 2020, under the leadership of the Party Group of the Shijiazhuang Red Cross Society, all Red Cross volunteers carried forward the Red Cross spirit of "humanity, fraternity, and dedication", and carried out a large amount of Red Cross volunteers around their main responsibilities and main business, epidemic prevention and control, elderly care, community governance, safe construction and poverty alleviation, providing humanitarian needs services to more than 1 million people, and has become an important force to help the provincial capital's spiritual civilization construction. After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the city's Red Cross system organized 131 batches of 8,836 volunteers to invest more than 20,000 working hours, and participated in the publicity of new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention knowledge, community joint prevention and control and other Red Cross volunteer services. The number of beneficiaries exceeded 750,000, and played an important role in the epidemic prevention and control work in Shijiazhuang City.
In August this year, at the national teleconference on promoting the volunteer service of Lei Feng held by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee and the Central Civilization Office, the Shijiazhuang Red Cross Volunteer Service Working Committee was rated as the best volunteer service organization for learning Lei Feng in the country by twelve other ministries and commissions.
