In recent years, with the increase in car ownership, parking demand has also increased, but the number of parking spaces in my country is still relatively low. Data provided by the conference organizer shows that the average ratio of cars to parking spaces in large cities in my country is about 1:0.8, and that of small and medium-sized cities is about 1:0.5. According to conservative estimates, there are more than 50 million parking space gaps in my country. Taking Beijing as an example, the number of cars in Beijing is 5.64 million, while the total number of parking spaces is 4.27 million, and the gap in parking spaces is 1.37 million. Therefore, parking difficulties have become a common problem faced by major cities at this stage. At the same time, due to the scarcity of land resources and investment restrictions, it is difficult for many big cities to take out too much space to build parking lots, and controlling the number of motor vehicles, increasing the number of parking spaces and utilization rates, and creating smart parking have become new solutions to major cities to alleviate parking difficulties.

Charging infrastructure is an important foundation for the widespread promotion and application of electric vehicles. With the explosion of electric vehicles in my country in the past two years, charging infrastructure has also ushered in a stage of rapid development, but at this stage, there is still a large gap in the number of charging piles in my country. Data shows that as of November 2018, the number of new energy vehicles in my country has exceeded 3 million, but the number of charging piles has been built is 728,000, which is far away from the country's requirement of "one vehicle, one pile".
In addition, although many policies have been introduced from the state to the local government to promote the construction of charging infrastructure, the coordination between charging facilities and parking lots is often ignored in the construction of charging infrastructure. On the one hand, the parking spaces for new energy vehicles are occupied, and on the other hand, some parking lot systems have not been upgraded, causing difficulties in identifying new energy license plates, affecting normal parking and payment of fees. How to ensure parking of new energy vehicles and promote the integrated construction of parking charging, as well as upgrading the license plate recognition system in parking lots and creating smart parking are all issues that need to be solved urgently.
The organizer said that based on the successful holding of previous sessions, the 4th China International Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Exhibition and the Parking Industry Expo were held at the same time. The combined efforts of the two exhibitions have formed a complete upstream and downstream industrial chain of the parking industry, releasing huge market attractiveness. "Difficult to parking" is a "pain point" facing large cities. In the past two years, Beijing has taken multiple measures to solve the parking problem, and has fully implemented electronic charging for road parking since January 2019. As a department responsible for the coordinated development of urban and rural transportation in Beijing, the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission has carried out a number of tasks in solving the parking problems in Beijing.

The problem of "difficulty in parking" not only plagues private cars, but also buses. At present, the traditional planar parking building method requires a large amount of station land resources to support it. Under the real conditions of increasingly tight urban land resources, it seriously hinders the overall improvement of bus operation service quality and urban carrying capacity. At the same time, in the context of the country's vigorous promotion of new energy buses, the continuous increase in urban new energy buses has brought about major problems in the construction of bus stations. Under the dual goals of solving the problem of bus parking and promoting the application of new energy buses, more than 30 bus companies across the country have also come to participate in the expo, and they have expressed that they will have an in-depth understanding of new parking technologies and solutions for buses and supporting facilities for new energy bus stops.
