Japan study visa application process
Japan has two ways to accept foreign students: one is that people with a certain level of Japanese language can go directly to university to study through the selection examinations of each university. Another type of Japanese language who has poor Japanese skills can first enter a Japanese school affiliated to the university or a folk Japanese language junior college to receive one or one and a half Japanese language preparation education, and then go to university to study through the national unified examination.

4-1-6 visa
is an independent student applying for colleges and universities. This kind of student is usually called a formal student in Japan. The residence period for obtaining this visa is usually 1 year, 6 months or 3 months. The Japanese guarantor will send the "Admission Notice" and the "HTM1 Residence Qualification Certification" (4-1, 6) to the applicant, and the applicant will apply for a passport from the public security organ with the above documents.
After the applicant obtains his passport, he or she can apply for a study abroad visa from the Japanese Embassy if he or she has the following materials.
(1) Reasons for studying abroad. Fill in detail the purpose of studying in Japan and the elective subjects in duplicate.
(2) Personal resume. Fill in from elementary school, in duplicate.
(3) Oath. In duplicate, the style content is provided by the Japanese Embassy. The applicant can copy it and sign it.
(4)Fill in the Japan entry visa application form. In duplicate.
(5) Certificate of the relationship between the applicant and the guarantor issued by the public security organ.
(6) The applicant's final school graduation certificate. (7) Admission notice from the admission school.

4-1-16-3 Visa
is for students, that is, those foreign students (including students from other skilled schools) who study in Japan at their own expense and cannot directly enter the language school to study Japanese because their language proficiency does not meet the requirements and cannot directly enter various universities to study. They are not formal international students. In Japan, they are called students (or difficult students) to distinguish between formal students. Students who receive this kind of visa usually only have half a year of residence during the day. Self-paid students studying in language schools offered by the International Student College may also receive a 4-1-6 visa.
(1) The applicant applies for an admission permit to the Japanese language school he intends to go to through the guarantor.
(2) The guarantor shall apply to the National Entry Administration for the "pre-school review" procedures with the admission license.
(3) After review and approval by the State Administration of China, a "final certificate for pre-examination of students entering the State" will be sent to the guarantor, and the guarantor will then send it to the applicant.
(4) The applicant applies to the public security organs’ entry and exit management department with the “final certificate for pre-examination of students entering the country” and other procedures.
(5) Ask for the "Entry Visa Application Form", "Relative Relationship Form ", and "Oath Letter" from the Japanese Embassy and Consulate in China.
(6) Fill in the form provided by the envoy and consulate, and write a book of reasons for studying and personal resume.
