mentioned solar water heater , many friends are familiar with it. Especially in rural areas, solar water heaters are very common. 5-8 years ago, they were basically popular in rural areas. In recent years, solar water heaters have continued to decline. They are no longer popular and have fewer installation users. We can’t help but ask, have solar water heaters been banned?
In the East Henan area where the author is located, the installation of solar water heaters in our village peaked around 2015. Basically, as long as there is an installation space in the home, solar water heaters will be installed. As for the reasons, there are mainly two aspects.
One, go with the flow. People in the village tend to follow suit. A few have installed it and it feels good to use it. Then the surrounding neighbors will also install it one after another. As the number of installation users gradually increases, the remaining users who do not want to install it cannot resist everyone's persuasion and will also install it. Go install a solar water heater.
Second, the subsidy policy is strong. At that time, there were many manufacturers of solar water heaters, and they all went to the countryside to provide subsidies. After the subsidy, a water heater worth several thousand yuan could be installed for only 1,000 to 2,000 yuan, and many small gifts were also given.
Now, just a few years ago, the number of users in the village who are still using solar water heaters has dropped significantly, and the number of users who have newly installed solar water heaters is even less, while the number of users using electric water heaters has increased.
Why don’t people like new solar water heaters nowadays?
1. In the past, there were many manufacturers of solar water heaters and the policy of sending home appliances to the countryside was strong. Now, as the number of manufacturers has been greatly reduced, the subsidy has also been greatly reduced, and there is even no subsidy policy. Purchasing a solar water heater costs several thousand yuan, so, I won’t choose a new one.
2. Some users did not choose to install solar water heaters when they were more popular. Now that the popularity has subsided and the prices are more expensive, they will not install them.
3. I installed a solar water heater before and found it inconvenient to use, so I asked someone to remove it. I suffered a loss once and would not choose to install a new solar water heater again.
4. During the use of solar water heaters, damage occurred, but no one could be found to repair it. Especially in some remote rural areas, the manufacturer was unwilling to send people to repair it, or the product was purchased from a small manufacturer. Now the manufacturer has closed down. I can't find anyone to repair it. Therefore, new solar water heaters will not be installed.
Is the solar water heater disabled?
Solar water heaters have not been disabled, but there are fewer new installation users. In addition, many old users have given up using solar water heaters, so it is mistakenly thought to be disabled. In fact, there are still many users of solar water heaters, and some families have even used them for more than ten years. As for why the number of friends using solar water heaters is decreasing, the author also asked friends in different regions. There are mainly four reasons.
First, the water temperature issue. Many friends say that the water temperature is too high in summer and too low in winter. However, not much hot water is used in summer, but more hot water is used in winter. In other words, when more hot water is used, there is no hot water, and less hot water is used. When it comes to water, the water temperature is too hot.
Secondly, in winter in the north, the outdoor temperature is low, and the pipes of solar water heaters are easy to freeze. When you want to use them, they need to be heated. In addition, if the pipes are frozen and damaged, they need to be replaced in time, even if one is broken. They all need to be replaced, and they cannot be used without replacement. This is not only troublesome, but also increases maintenance costs.
Third, also in the winter in the north, due to insufficient light, insufficient solar energy, and less hot water, if you take a bath at home in winter, it may only be enough for 1-2 people, not enough for the whole family, and it is not practical and convenient.
Fourth, electric water heaters are more convenient than solar water heaters. As long as there is electricity, you can have hot water whenever you use it, and you don’t have to worry about the water temperature being too high in summer or too low in winter.
Seeing this, I believe everyone has a clear understanding of solar water heaters. In recent years, the number of new users of solar water heaters has indeed been decreasing. If you look at it from another perspective, there were many installers in the past, and the market has become saturated. The proportion of newly installed users Certainly not much.
The reason why some old users give up solar water heaters is mainly related to regionality. Solar energy is divided into regions. Some places may be suitable, while some places are not suitable in winter. One thing is certain, solar water heaters have not been disabled, nor have they disappeared.
