The China Youth Football League is open to all young people, providing improved training to outstanding young football talents discovered and selected, and providing outstanding talents to the national teams of all ages.
The China Youth Football League implements the "Master Plan" and the requirements for the integration of sports and education, achieves a substantial increase in the youth football population, and cultivates all-round development of outstanding football talents. It has the widest coverage, the largest number of participants, the highest competitive level, and the greatest social influence in my country. The top youth football events will be given priority in terms of calendar compilation, personnel participation, and event broadcasting. The
competition is open to all young people, breaks down barriers to participation, and takes into account popularization and improvement. It is divided into four age groups: primary school, junior high school, high school, and university. According to the characteristics of different age groups, a competition system is arranged that is in line with the physical and mental development of young people and the cultivation of football talents. Sports school teams, school teams, club youth training echelons, social youth training institutions and other teams are free to participate without any restrictions on participation. Through the China Youth Football League, outstanding youth football talents discovered and selected are provided with improved training to provide outstanding talents to the national teams of all ages.

The "Notice" makes it clear that at the same time, in order to meet the needs of different youth teams for more participation, brand events with strong viewing angles and high visibility can be appropriately retained, such as the National Youth Campus Football League and summer camps, and the National Sports School Cup Football Match, Chinese Football Association Youth Football Championship. At the same time, the Chinese Middle School Football Association Cup, China High School Football Championship, China University Football Association Cup, China University Football League , Chinese Football Association Youth Super League, Chinese Football Association Youth Social Brand Events, etc. will be integrated and cancelled.
The competition composition of the China Youth Football League is divided into four parts according to the participating age groups, with a total of 18 male and female groups, including ten groups for boys and girls in the elementary school age group U8-U12; boys in the junior high school age group U13 , U15 group, men’s high school age group U17 group; women’s junior high school age group U13, U15, U17 group; men’s college age group U19 group, women’s college age group (see the attachment for details of the competition plan for each group). The National Finals is the highest stage of the China Youth Football League. The participating teams are selected through local qualifiers.
In addition, the China Youth Football League has established a competition office located in the Chinese Football Association. The director of the office is the chairman of the Chinese Football Association, and office members are selected by the Ministry of Education, the General Administration of Sports, and the Chinese Football Association. They are responsible for the formulation and interpretation of competition plans, organization of competition work, formulation of rules and regulations, and selection of outstanding players.
