Mr. Wu Xiufeng was born in 1908 (the 34th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty) in the Wu family of the Hui ethnic group in Mengcun, Cangzhou, Hebei. His father, Mr. Wu Huiqing, was originally the fifth in the Kaimenjiquan lineage. World Palm (Wu Huiqing is known as "Iron Palm" in the martial arts circles). Wu Xiufeng's hearing was damaged due to illness when he was young. Coupled with the shock of his mother's death from illness, his character gradually became somewhat withdrawn.

Xing Yuqing, Wang Jingxiang, Sun Huanwen, Zhou Guangyuan, Wang Zhenting and Wang Zhenjiang were Mr. Wu Xiufeng. The first batch of disciples he accepted in Tianjin, and later Pan Changshan, Xie Hu and others also became his disciples.
