Spring training is a series of practices and warm-up games for each Major League Baseball team before the start of the regular season. Tempe Arizona State
The University of Arizona is located in Tempe, which has all the hallmarks of a college town—busy nightlife, fun shopping, and several outdoor coffee shops (ideal for a pregame meal). After catching a Los Angeles Angels game at Tempe Darkside Stadium, head to the downtown area on pedestrianized Mill Street for dinner and then catch a movie or play.
Lake Buena Vista Florida
There are two great things to enjoy during a spring vacation in Lake Buena Vista: Walt Disney World and baseball games. Champions Field, the Atlanta Braves' spring training stadium, is located on the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex operated by Disney. When you're not watching football games, you can visit Disneyland, experience great golf courses, and dine at numerous restaurants to keep you busy.
Scottsdale Arizona
Sunny Scottsdale hosts three major league teams each year - the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium and the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Stadium. Scottsdale also has some of Arizona's best golf courses and shopping areas, as well as excellent spas in the Sonoran Desert.
Sarasota Florida
Baltimore Orioles fans are in luck, as Sarasota is home to Ed Smith Stadium, a place with great spring weather. Several of the beaches along the Gulf Coast are some of the best in Florida, and indeed the entire United States, and they have become Florida's major cultural center. If you are not interested in sports culture, visiting the Ringling Museum of Art is a good choice.
Mesa, Arizona
We don't have to shiver into the cold Chicago wind to cheer on the College Basketball Premier League. We can head south to Mesa, Arizona to watch the game at Hohokam Stadium. Spring temperatures make it perfect for golfing or outdoor adventures in the Arizona desert, and families with kids can take a short trip to a nearby gold-mining ghost town.
Fort Myers Florida
Beautiful Fort Myers has no snowflakes, only sandy beaches. You can go to JetBlue Park and Hammond Stadium to watch the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins games. After the nine-inning game ends, you can visit the Edison and Ford winter estates, experience the Fort Myers Beach Pier, or head to nearby Sanibel Island to pick up seashells.
Glendale
Mount Camelback Farm in Glendale, Arizona is the annual spring training venue for the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers. Glendale is the largest suburb in the Phoenix area, and there's plenty to do in your free time before and after watching the game. You can head to Westgate Center for dining and nightlife, while its historic city center is known for its fine antique shops.
Clearwater, Florida
To see the Phillies throw the first snap of the quarter, you've got to grab a ticket to the game at Lighthouse Stadium in Clearwater. Clearwater Beach is one of the best beaches in Florida. When you're not sunbathing here, you can enjoy the town's waterfront restaurants, attend a sunset celebration at Pier 60, or go to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium Watch dolphins in winter. If that's not enough, you can also visit nearby St. Petersburg.
Phoenix, Arizona
If there is a sport more popular in Phoenix than golf, it has to be baseball. In between scheduled kickoffs, you can catch the Milwaukee Brewers at Maryvale Park or the Oakland Athletics at Phoenix Municipal Stadium for spring training.After watching the game, as long as you have time, Phoenix has a lot of cultural and artistic achievements for you to enjoy.
Tampa, Florida
