More than 700 years later, Fenghuang Ancient Village, located at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in Fuyong, Baoan, is still quietly telling the stories of its ancestors.

"Wen's Ancestral Hall"
Standing at the entrance of the ancient village, the Wen's Ancestral Hall is a place where descendants of the Wen family folk festivals offer sacrifices or pray for blessings. On the door, "Wen's Ancestral Hall" The plaque "Yanlou Shize's upright family tradition" demonstrates the majestic momentum and the inheritance of upright family tradition from generation to generation.
The exterior of the ancestral hall is beautifully decorated. When you look up, you will see the Lingnan-style cornice tiles, beams and painted walls, which are lifelike and ready to be seen.

"Wenchang Tower"

In the Wenchang Tower next to Fenghuang Ancient Village, there stands a six-story hexagonal stone foundation The stacked ancient pagoda is the "Wenchang Pagoda", the tallest existing ancient pagoda in Bao'an.
Wenchang Tower was built in the Daoguang period of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty . The tower is built with green bricks and is six stories high. It stands near the water and is simple and elegant.
After walking around Wenchang Tower and walking across a stone bridge, we arrived at Wen Tianxiang Memorial Hall. The museum carefully displays Wen Tianxiang's life story, as well as the upright family tradition of the Wen family that started here and continues to this day.
Corridors of antique pavilions form a square patio, with cornices slowly pointing to the sky. In the center of the patio, a solemn statue of Wen Tianxiang quietly gazes at the changes in history.

" Wangyan Tower Legend"
During the Southern Song Dynasty, Wen Tianxiang's great-nephew Wen Yinglin moved with his ancestors to the foot of Damao Mountain in Fuyong, where he established a village and thrived. After several generations of hard work, the prototype of today's Fenghuang Ancient Village was formed.
In Fenghuang Ancient Village, there is a legend about Wen Yinglin - "The Legend of Wangyan Tower" which has been passed down to this day.
According to legend, Wen Yinglin was a charitable person with a righteous heart. In order to understand the sufferings of the people, Wen Yinglin would often climb to the top of Fenghuang Mountain and judge whether the people were in hardship through the smoke on the roofs of each house, and provide relief. In order to commemorate this martyr who cared about the suffering of the people, later generations built a smoke-watching tower according to its original appearance on the top of Fenghuang Mountain where he once used to understand the people's sentiments and where he built a temporary observation tower. Today, "The Legend of Wangyan Tower" has been included in the intangible cultural heritage of Guangdong Province.

"Guang'an Pawn Shop"
This high-rise building with right edges and right angles is in front of me. It is the Guang'an Pawnshop built during the Qing Dynasty. It is very different from the traditional boat-shaped roof style of Guangfu in the south. It looks more like a bunker. The existence of such a tall building at that time shows the prosperity of the market in its heyday.

"Xinqiao Granary"
The two buildings with circular walls and dome roofs in the ancient ruins are eye-catching. This is the Xinqiao Granary. The granary was built in the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946). It consists of two circular warehouses and office buildings side by side. It is an important cultural relic and representative building in modern times. It was one of the four major grain centers in Bao'an County in the past and is now a Baoan District cultural relics protection unit.

Shajing has a testable settlement history since the Northern Song Dynasty . In the Northern Song Dynasty, Guide Saltworks and Salt Division were established.
