Only electric bicycles that meet the new national standards will be registered and plated. If unlicensed electric vehicles exceeding the standard are still driven on the road, the public security and traffic control departments will issue warnings or fines in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Law.
"We hope that the majority of electric bicycle owners will handle the registration business in time during the free license period. Owners who have applied for but not received the license plate will seize the time to go to various postal licensing outlets to collect it." At the same time, in addition to the vehicle management office, 35 postal outlets and two road service points are also set up offline for registration. After the centralized registration period ends, these temporary registration points will be cancelled. National standard vehicles can be applied for at sales stores with registration service stations. Electric motorcycles can still apply for license plates by referring to the registration process for fuel motorcycles.
