With the introduction of Western photographic printing technology, the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China experienced a major revolution in printing for thousands of years. Photography was not only used as a portrait reproduction technology, but also used in publishing. Printing, when copying collections such as rare books, inscriptions, and ancient paintings, gradually evolved from shadow engraving, lithography, to collotype printing, creating increasingly perfect realistic images. But does sophisticated reproduction technology bring added value to culture? Or is Aura disappearing as predicted by Benjamin ? On the other hand, technology is not only closely related to the production and creation of things, but also affects the way human beings survive and regulates the behavior of users. Does it create life situations and choices that were not available before, and shape different thoughts? Ye Dehui (1864-1927) has always been regarded as a collector and publisher of conservative ideas. From the first publication of "Illustrated Praise for the Classic of Mountains and Seas" at the age of 26 to the final draft of "The True Origin of Stars" before his death, He works almost all year round. It is worth noting that Ye Dehui is not only a collector but also a publisher.
