The dance drama is adapted from the true history of Jiaodong Nursery, and is created with Shandong folk dance elements as the basic vocabulary. The actors used rich and full body language to vividly interpret life and death under the smoke and beacon fire, vividly portraying the glorious image of wet nurses, and recreating the touching deeds of Jiaodong's "wet nurses" who risked their lives to nurture the descendants of frontline soldiers and the orphans of martyrs. . The great human love of blood and milk, life and death, which he showed, moved the audience extremely deeply.
In July 1942, the Jiaodong District Party Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to establish the Jiaodong Nursery in Mouhai County (today's Rushan City), and select wet nurses to nurture the children of party, government and military cadres and the orphans of martyrs. Over the next 10 years, more than 300 wet nurses and caregivers raised 1,223 children of the revolution. During the Japanese army's "mopping up" and relocation, not a single nurse in the Jiaodong Nursery was injured or killed.
In the age of war, wet nurses devoted all their energy to raising their babies regardless of the harsh living environment. In order to protect the descendants of the revolution, some resolutely chose to abandon their flesh and blood at the critical moment of life and death.
Xiao Guoying became a wet nurse at the age of 23. At that time, her second child died shortly after birth. The director of the Women's Rescue Society gave her 12-day-old Xiao Yuanluo to nurse. In November 1942, the Japanese army, under the command of Colonel Okamura Ningji, raided Mashiyama Mountain. Xiao Guoying, whose feet were bound, held Xiao Yuanluo with one hand and dragged her 5-year-old daughter with the other to escape. The Japs were getting closer and closer. Xiao Guoying put her daughter, who couldn't run, in the bushes and covered her with grass. She told her to stay still and ran up the mountain with Xiao Yuanluo in her arms... The next day, the Japs left, and Xiao Guoying I found the place where my daughter was hiding. The trembling daughter was still chewing wild vegetables in her mouth.
"Xiao Guoying and others" put aside the life and death of their own flesh and blood and guarded their oath to "protect future generations of the revolution." During that raid, twenty or thirty children from nurseries scattered in various villages were pulled into the "net", but no one was injured or killed.
In her later years, Xiao Guoying was seriously ill. Before she left, she kept talking about "falling far away". Today, "Xiaoyuanluo" has become the common name symbol of more than 1,200 infants.
Due to secrecy during the Anti-Japanese War and the loss of historical data, the touching stories of Jiaodong Nursery were buried in the countryside for a long time. In order to build a bridge between "Wet Nurse" and "Wet Nurse", at the press conference of the national dance drama "Wet Nurse" held that afternoon, the "Xiaoyuanluo - Where are you?" activity to find the nurse was launched at the same time. Rushan City has released the first batch of 42 clues and clue collection platform for "nursing babies" in Jiaodong nurseries to search for "nursing babies" in Jiaodong nurseries across the country.
In recent years, Rushan has focused on building and displaying red genes, investing more than 50 million yuan in the renovation and exhibition of the Ma Shishan Martyrs Cemetery, planning and construction of Xu Shiyou Battlefield Temporary Command Post, Shanjuhua Film Exhibition Hall, Gongbaotian Memorial Hall, Feng Deying More than 40 historical and cultural exhibition halls, including the former residence of and the site of the Jiaodong Special Committee, have created a red cultural line with two red education bases in Mashishan and Jiaodong Nursery as the center, radiating and driving 46 villages, becoming a red culture exhibition in Rushan and a red cultural exhibition hall in Rushan. An important carrier of education and an important part of Jiaodong (Weihai) Party Education Base.
