New news now shows that in addition to the Dimensity 9000+ chip that will be launched in Q3, MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8 series chips are also coming. According to Weibo blogger @digitalchatstation, the new Dimensity 8 series iteration platform is tentatively scheduled to be released by the end of the year, and the parameters are very good. However, the specific parameters have yet to be revealed.
According to MediaTek data, the Dimensity 8100 uses TSMC’s 5nm process. The CPU part includes four 2.85GHz A78 cores + four 2.0GHz A55 cores. The GPU is Mali-G610 and uses the self-developed APU 580 architecture. The APU 2x performance core frequency is increased by 25%, the GPU frequency is increased by 20%, and supports FHD+ 168Hz and WQHD+ 120Hz screens.
