Unfortunately, none of them were as successful as Luye. To some extent, it may be because the terrain of Taitung Luye is unique.
If you want to take a hot air balloon into the sky and experience Taitung in the clouds, you have to queue up early to buy tickets (I woke up early last time, and the morning air was so good). The ticket booth at Luye Gaotai was crowded with people buying tickets before the sun came up. A ticket costs NT$500 and allows you to stay in the air for about 5 minutes. If you want to experience the free flight of a hot air balloon, you need to make an online reservation in advance, and the price is NT$8,000.
After buying the tickets, we will start waiting to board the "ball". At least four people are required to take off each hot air balloon. First, the balloon is spread out on the lawn and connected to the hanging basket. Then a blower was used to blow air into the balloon, and two staff members pulled it hard. Then, use a heater to ignite a flame to heat the air in the balloon. The hot air will slowly raise the balloon until it is perpendicular to the basket, and the hot air balloon will stand up and prepare to take off.
