On June 24, local time, the company announced the launch of a new in-vehicle business platform Uconnect Market, which allows customers to comfortably Order food, find the nearest gas station, save money on fuel and make dinner reservations from the comfort of your car.

Using this new platform, FCA users can order (purchase) food and drinks without queuing, reserve a seat on the way to a restaurant, or locate and authorize a gas station to refuel and pay for it. In addition, drivers will be able to find and pay for nearby parking and schedule service appointments with FCA U.S. dealers, all from within the car without the need for a physical credit card.

Brands participating in the Uconnect Market platform include Shell, Domino's Pizza, Park Whiz and Yelp Reservations.

Uconnect Market includes the following services:

Wallet: When setting up a Uconnect Market account, the owner can enter a credit card that can be used at merchants that have partnerships with Uconnect Market.

Service: customers have access to Mopar service nationwide and can locate a certified Mopar service center and schedule service.

Fuel: users can view a directory of nearby gas stations and use the Shell Pay Save program to authorize payment for fuel at participating Shell gas stations.

Food: The platform uses Yelp to display a directory of nearby restaurants by category, and users can reserve seats at partner restaurants.

Parking: Through ParkWhiz, users can find thousands of parking lots across North America, reserve parking spaces, and pay parking fees.

FCA developed Uconnect Market in partnership with Seattle-based Xevo, which was recently acquired by Lear Corporation. The platform will be available via over-the-air (OTA) updates in the second half of this year to 2019 and 2020 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles that require connected services and the latest generation of 8.4-inch touch screen.
