This competition invites young students and professional designers from Taiwan to participate. The works must use blue shirts as creative elements, combined with modern wedding dresses, to show creativity and design. A total of 88 design drawings participated in the preliminary competition, and were selected to advance to the final, and the dress production was completed.

The finals have been held on August 16 at Yudou Shuzhan Trail in the Hakka Gardens. Men's and women's wear, each with 5 sets of blue shirts, were released in a dynamic catwalk. A jury composed of industry and academia judged on-site and selected men's and women's wear. Two winning works from each group.

The work "Butterfly" by Lin Fangyu, a student of the Department of Popular Design at Shudeke, is inspired by the fluttering butterfly. It uses the butterfly's beautiful appearance and the meaning of hard work, combined with Hakka blue shirt to design a dress with innovative elements.

Blue dyeing and Hakka tung flower season are one of the indispensable elements of Hakka culture. "Dyeing Banquet" by Shuke University students Xie Guanyu and Liang Jiawei takes the Hakka tung flower season as the creative concept. They create tung flower patterns on blue-dyed, tie-dyed, and gradient-dyed fabrics, and add them to European three-dimensional tassels. The floral fabric is embroidered with tung flowers.

For the winning prize of the Women's Wear Award, Lin Fangyu and other three winners thanked teachers Mao Peihua, Zheng Qiuyue, and Zhang Yingling from the University of Shuke University for their assistance in dyeing blue fabrics for the competition. They took advantage of the summer vacation period during the slight relaxation of the epidemic to take advantage of the competition deadline. Urgent man-to-man method guides Aizen to learn for one week, personally dyes suitable and beautiful indigo fabrics, and makes the most beautiful dresses in my mind. (Gao Yang)
